Clinical Health Psychology & Neuropsychology team within the Trust.
Initially, the rolewill be primarily based within the Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
Psychology Service and other departments we support across Royal Devon University Healthcare (RDUH) Foundation Trust, Exeter. Over time, there may be opportunities to work with a range of teams across the wider CHNP service. Youwill have access to excellent professional support, supervision, and ongoing training linked to the role.
The post wouldsuit a clinician who has an interest in developing experience in healthpsychology-based approaches that can incorporate therapies such as CBT, CAT,ACT, CFT, EMDR. Opportunities for further training in these approaches are available. We also have collaborative links with the NHS Talking Therapies service that has a long-term conditions team as part of a matched care approach.
Main duties of the jobThe main Duties of theRole involves
- Delivering psychological assessments and individual therapiesforpeople with Functional Neurological Disorder, working closely with colleagues in the FND Psychology team and contributing to service development and innovationwithin the FNDpathway.
- Working alongside seniorcliniciansto deliver healthpsychology input to a variety of medical teams within the Trust.
Offering psychological assessments and interventions for people withphysical health conditions in outpatient settings. - Supporting group-basedpsychoeducation session sin collaboration with allied health professionals.
- Actively contributing tomultidisciplinary discussions, valuing close working relationships with healthcare colleagues.
- Providing teaching and training for multidisciplinary staff as required.
- Engaging with research and training opportunities through stronglinks with the University of Exeter Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme,including potential involvement in service-related research and traineeplacements.

Job Purpose
The principal purpose of the job is to improve the psychological health & wellbeing of people within the post holdersspecialist field of practice.
The post will sit within the Health Psychology and Neuropsychology Department and will involve a dynamic role across multiple teams within Clinical Health and Neuropsychology Services. This role will include working with functional presentations across a range of settings, including the Functional Neurological Disorder Service. Therewill be strong links with the Integrated Psychological Medicine Pathway within
Liaison Psychiatry. The post holder will be clinically managed and supportedwithin the Health Psychology and Neuropsychology Department.
This will be achieved in this post through undertaking the following areas of responsibility:
1. To support the systematic provision ofa high-quality psychological service in specialist field of practice, acrossidentified locality area, as a key component of integrated mental/physical health and wellbeing services across Devon Partnership NHS Trust and the Acute Trust.
