An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Accountant within the Corporate Services Finance team, for an 18 month secondment. Reporting directly to the Head Accountant, the successful candidate will lead a well‑established team in providing a financial management service to budget holders, senior managers, and elected members. The role is pivotal in ensuring systems and processes are in place for accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budget planning and modelling.
Leading an effective and efficient service to a diverse range of corporate service functions ranging from ICT, Business Services and Estates to Finance and Procurement Services; the post holder will need to be a self‑motivated finance professional who is an effective communicator, with good interpersonal skills, IT and analytical skills. A sound understanding of accounting principles are essential, as is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting workloads to achieve deadlines and other key outputs with accuracy.
