. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a well‑established finance team while furthering your professional development.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will join the company's overall finance team, where accuracy and timely financial reporting are paramount. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting month‑end compliance and timetable adherence
- Preparing and posting prepayments, accruals, and other key journals
- Calculating and managing inter‑company recharges
- Preparing balance‑sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Assisting with ad hoc management accounting tasks and wider improvement projects
We're looking for a detail‑oriented individual who is ready to grow within a collaborative and forward‑thinking finance environment. Ideally, you will bring:
- Progress towards, or completion of, an AAT qualification
- Previous experience working in a finance team
- Proficiency in Excel, with some exposure to ERP systems being advantageous
- A proactive mindset, embracing change and taking ownership of your work

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

Applicant will support a Director with a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients in Strixton, Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Director with a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, ensuring all deliverables are met accurately and on time
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and payroll
- Maintain and reconcile financial records using cloud accounting systems (Xero, Sage, Quick Books)
- Contribute to the preparation of year‑end working papers and statutory accounts
- Liaise directly with clients, providing excellent service and support
- Support junior team members where needed and assist with ad hoc financial projects
- AAT Level 4 qualified (or near completion) or equivalent
- Desirably some experience or interest of businesses within the agricultural/rural or sustainability sector, but not essential
- Previous experience working in professional services or an accountancy practice with a client portfolio desirable
- Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quick Books
- Excellent Excel and Google Suite skills
- Strong academic background (minimum B grade or equivalent in Maths and English)
- Organised, proactive, and eager to grow in a client‑facing accounting role

Location:
