Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer – Office Based, Exeter – commutable from Sidmouth, Exmouth, Torquay, Tiverton and surrounding areas.

Salary: 35,000–40,000 + Pension + Company Benefits + Early Finish on Fridays. Office Based, Monday to Friday + Holiday.

The role will involve designing and developing new and existing products from concept through to completion. Working in the engineering department you will collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to aid in development testing of the company's creations.

• Mechanical Design Engineer, Manufacturing/Production/Development Engineer
• Developing new and existing products
• Concept to completion
• Working within Engineering team
• Working with a team to resolve process issues and identify areas for improvement

• Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Production or Development Engineer (or similar background)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment – sheet metal experience would be advantageous
• Proficient in CAD packages (e.g. Solidworks or Solid Edge)
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical principles (qualifications ideally)
• Experience implementing improvements within manufacturing
