Elementary School, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
We are looking to appoint a new teacher into our KS1 team from September. We want to appoint a passionate, reflective and inspiring teacher who has a good understanding of building upon the strong foundations from EYFS and using these to support children's learning through KS1. As a Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers' Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs
- Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target-setting
- Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
- Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives
- Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos, becoming part of a supportive, forward‑thinking school team that values collaboration, creativity and shared success
- Opportunities to influence practice and contribute to whole‑school improvement
- A commitment to staff development and CPD
- A positive, inclusive school ethos and welcoming community
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children's learning.
Qualifications- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT working towards their QTS
- Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS or KS1
- Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning
- Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
- Experience leading a curriculum area
- Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
- Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
- Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities

- MPS – UPS – £32,916 – £51,048 FTE (paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
