Associate Director - Facilities Management

Barnstaple to Plymouth.

WINNER are currently working with a family-owned, staff-focused, eco-friendly cleaning company who, due to their continued success, are currently searching for an Area Manager to oversee a range of commercial cleaning sites across from Barnstaple to Plymouth.

This role offers fantastic progression prospects into a full-time account/senior account manager for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities:

  • As an Area Manager, you’ll be working closely with the Operations Director/Senior Account Managers to attend site visits and quality control audits.
  • You’ll be responsible for face-to-face interactions with customers and staff.
  • You will deal with the day-to-day operations such as managing sickness and holiday cover ensuring that sites are adequately staffed.
  • As an Area Manager, your role will be to build long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • You’ll perform staff inductions, looking after up to 90 mobile cleaners at peak.
  • You will act as the first point of contact for any escalations or problems, ensuring they are dealt with efficiently.

Skills & Experience:

  • Candidates need to be skilled in working in a fast-moving environment within the commercial cleaning service sector.
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Positive attitude to challenges with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a highly pressurized environment.
  • Flexibility is key as hours can vary to suit the needs of the business.
  • Full and clean UK driving license and be able to travel to sites.
  • Must live within commuting distance of the location as detailed.
  • Be of a smart and professional appearance.
