Business Development Manager – South West (UK)
A market-leading organisation within the weighing, slicing, and technology solutions sector is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the South West region

This is a high-impact role focused on expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term client relationships across sectors including retail, food production, and industrial markets

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of regional sales growth by identifying opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to achieve sales targets
- Identify, engage, and convert new customers across multiple sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customised solutions and proposals
- Lead contract negotiations and close profitable deals
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Represent the business at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development or sales
- Experience with in technology, manufacturing, or related sectors preferred
- Strong understanding of sales cycles, negotiation, and account management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or similar (desirable)
