This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
Summary of the roleA Governance Coordinator is sought to join the Governance Services team within the Division of Office of the Senior Vice-President and Registrar & Secretary (OSVP) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within Governance Support Services in delivering professional secretarial services and governance support. They will also be responsible for providing support to the Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Office, helping to ensure the smooth operation of University Executive Board (UEB) and ensuring the effective intersection between UEB and the University's governance groups.
The postholder will be a proactive individual with excellent organizational and time management skills and have experience of servicing committees, including coordinating the production of papers, drafting papers and agendas, tracking and progressing key actions and dealing with queries in an accurate and timely fashion. They will also have a proactive and flexible approach to work, and ability to demonstrate tact and discretion when handling confidential information.
The Governance Coordinator will provide administrative support to enable effective preparations for a range of senior committees, including the University Executive Board. In providing administrative support for the operation of the University Executive Board, they will also be primarily responsible for drafting agendas, quality assuring papers and uploading committee documentation to the University's board software platfor
The post holder will also have a reporting line to the Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Office for all matters relating to UEB support.
