Full-time cook position preparing hot and cold menu items for residents at a continuing care retirement community, working typical shifts between 11:00am and 7:30pm with a preferred Thu–Mon schedule. Responsibilities include hot line duties (sauté, grill, meat temps, plating), following standardized recipes and production sheets, maintaining sanitation and safety, and coordinating with Sous Chef/Director for daily production. Overview:River Woods in Exeter is currently hiring for experienced Cook to join our Dining team! Enjoy working Full Time with benefits without having to work late nights! Typical shifts run between 11:00am and 7:30pm;
The ideal candidate would be able to work a Thursday through Monday schedule.

The ideal candidate will understand and perform a variety of culinary concepts working with whole food items, able to operate a safe and sanitary workspace, have flexibility to work various stations and contribute to the resident experience by ensuring quality and consistency.

Under the direction of the Sous Chef the following are responsibilities of position, but not limited to:
- Prepares all the hot and cold food items on menu for residents and personnel according to production sheets and standardized recipes
- Perform the required duties of a hot line service and proficient in sauté, grill , meat temps and plating a la carte meals.
- Able to work in a fast pace manner while maintaining safety and quality.
- Maintains the highest standards of sanitation, food handling practices in performing food production tasks
- Meets daily with the Sous Chef and/or Director of Culinary Operations to review and confirm daily production amounts, culinary techniques and timing for resident meal services and special functions
- Attends in service trainings
- Maintains a clean, pristine and safe work environment
- High School Diploma or GED/ HiSET
- 2-4 years Culinary experience preferred
- Serv Safe Certificate preferred
