Description:
The Chief of Human Resources and Operations, also known as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), oversees day-to-day operations at VLACS and acts as both the Chief Human Resource Officer and Information Security Officer. The CAO also manages the physical VLACS office, technology infrastructure, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities- Manage all Human Resource operations in accordance with local, state and national laws. Areas include:
- Recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of all employees
- Benefits administration
- Employee development and performance
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the VLACS office on a daily basis.
- Support the Technology Team and Instructional Design Team through the supervision and mentorship of the Assistant Director of Technology
- Serve as VLACS’s Information Security Officer
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of documents and the records retention process
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience for all VLACS students, families, and partners
- Coordinate and provide administrative support for in-person events such as graduation, open houses, and the annual employee conference
- Collaborate with the Business Administrator and directors to complete all required state and federal reporting
- Attend Board of Trustees meetings and aid in the preparation of materials as directed by the CEO
- Other tasks as assigned by the CEO
- Annual total salary based on experience, estimated between $100,000 and $115,000
- Participation in NH Retirement System and/or 457 plan
- Long & Short Term Disability Insurance
- Paid Time Off - starting at 14 vacation days (annual), 12 holidays (annual), and 12 sick days (annual)
- Holds valid NH Superintendent or Principal Certification or equivalent certification
- Master’s Degree or higher in School or Business Administration
- Experience in school or district level leadership
- Ability to work on-site at the VLACS office in Exeter, NH
- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Advanced Studies degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
