Your Impact
  • Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs.
    • Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
  • Clinical Procedures:
    • Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more.
    • Execute point‑of‑care testing such as strep, flu, RSV, SARS‑CoV‑2, glucose, lipid panel, and urinalysis.
    • Provide cardiac and airway management, including ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen administration.
    • Deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations.
  • Patient Engagement & Documentation: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans.
    • Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment details.
    • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions, taking necessary action as needed.
  • Clinic Operations:
    • Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies.
    • Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace, supporting smooth clinic operations.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
    • Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
    • Welcome and support the training of new team clinic team members.
Required Availability
  • Licensed Practical Nurses must have full‑time availability during clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. To ensure seamless patient care and clinic readiness, team members can generally expect to work from 7:15 am to 5:15 pm, including time for opening and closing procedures. While the schedule primarily aligns with these hours, flexibility may occasionally be required to meet patient and team needs.
Who You Are
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification or Prior

    Experience:

    State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. For Maine and New Hampshire only, must be IV certified. 1‑2 years of patient triage experience in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.
