At Convenient

MD, we’re on a mission to make good health more convenient for all. We’re building a team of dedicated professionals who care about improving lives and are driven to learn from one another. We’re pursuing Advanced Primary Care (APC) to center around each patient’s personal needs by integrating in-person and virtual primary care with urgent care, delivering personalized, hands-on care that educates, connects patients with resources, and simplifies downstream care.

Join us as a Medical Assistant (MA) and be part of this innovative approach to redefining healthcare.

The Opportunity

Our APC model combines modern clinics with cutting-edge technology to provide high-quality, team-based care. We aim to deliver proactive, patient-centered care and support the healthcare team with efficient operations.

Your Impact
  • Patient Interaction: Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications. Explain prescribed medications (dosage instructions, potential adverse reactions); offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and follow-up care; address questions to ensure understanding of health status and options.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Support clinical operations and patient care. Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients, perform basic clinical procedures (vital signs, medical histories, phlebotomy), and assist with minor procedures. Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Medication Administration (prescription meds – NH & ME only): Administer medications under supervision of licensed providers, adhering to state regulations. Ensure accurate preparation, understand dosages, routes, and potential side effects.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work with the clinical team to coordinate patient care. Communicate effectively with providers and other healthcare professionals, assist with discharge plans, and support training for new team members.
Required Availability
  • Full-time availability during clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm. Generally, expect to work from 7:15am–5:15pm, including opening/closing procedures. Flexible scheduling may occasionally be required.
Who You Are
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Certification or experience: Medical Assisting certification with at least 1 year of experience or 2 years of MA experience, preferably in a primary care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online-only classes.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, authentic, patient-focused; proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal); trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA; effective cross-collaboration; excellent team player; technically savvy with MS Office and ability to learn Next Gen and other systems.
