- Perform detailed design of medium and low voltage distribution systems for industrial and utility power projects.
- Develop essential electrical documentation including one‑line diagrams, three‑line diagrams, wiring schematics, and interconnect drawings.
- Execute power system studies using industry software such as ETAP or SKM, focusing on load flow, short circuit analysis, coordination studies, and arc flash assessments.
- Write technical specifications for the procurement of major equipment including switch gear, transformers, generators, and battery storage systems.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, and controls departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated plant design.
- Review contractor submittals and shop drawings to maintain design integrity during the construction phase.
- Provide on‑site technical support during construction and lead the commissioning and startup of electrical systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with the National Electric Code, IEEE standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 3+ years of experience as an electrical engineer focusing on power generation.
- E.I.T certification is a plus but is not required.
- Experience in the design of power generation or heavy industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in power system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Understanding of the National Electric Code and standard industry engineering practices.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed to support construction and commissioning activities around 10‑15%.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi‑discipline engineering environment.
