Seasonal Guide, Exeter, Hampshire

Description: Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work Fridays and Saturdays at Historic New England’s Gilman Garrison House, where innovative architecture, women‑led businesses, and family history converged to become local legends. Guides will conduct tours of the museum property and assist with daily museum operations including ticket and membership sales. In addition to the presentation of interpretative tours, guides will participate in daily care of the museum spaces and collections and assist the Site Manager with public programs and group tours.

Training is provided.

Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have excellent communication skills, have an interest in inclusive history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available Fridays and Saturdays and commit to employment through the end of the 2026 season, June – October.
