General Function:

Screens and recruits students for the Job Corps Program by making and maintaining a network of referral sources such as students already in the Job Corps Program, the Community Advisory Board, churches, etc. Must be available to work 1 evening (10:00am-7:00pm per week) and 1 weekend (4.0 hrs Saturday and 4.0 hrs Sunday) on a rotation at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center.

Monday - Friday at our Kansas City office.

• Screens and recruits students for the Job Corps Program by building and maintaining referral networks (e.g., students in the program, Community Advisory Board, churches, etc.).
• Work availability includes 1 evening per week (10:00am-7:00pm) and 1 weekend per rotation (4.0 hrs Saturday, 4.0 hrs Sunday) at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social science, Education, Counseling, Business or a related field and one year of teaching or job placement counseling experience is required. One year of experience working with disadvantaged youth required.
  • An Associate Degree in Social Science, Education, Counseling, Business or a related field and four years of teaching or job placement counseling experience is required. Two years' experience working with disadvantaged youth required. A valid Regular Driver License is required.
