We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines (though that’s a bonus) – a background in automotive parts is essential.
This role offers a great opportunity whether you're aiming for a long-term career as a Parts Specialist, seeking full or part-time work, or just exploring automotive careers.
- Providing auto parts solutions and answers to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Using your parts knowledge to assist team members and answer customer questions
- Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
- Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores
- Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Using technology, including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs
- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions
- Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks
- Are willing to learn about automotive parts if you lack experience
- Want to grow your career within a supportive team environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school education is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems
- Customer-centric attitude
- ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
