Salary: $105K to $145K

• Design plastics or injection-mold fabrication processes.
• Create and improve injection-mold machinery processes.
• Research and develop new manufacturing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.
• Analyze production capabilities of manufacturing machinery lines.
• Ensure quality output of molded components.
• Develop and design engineered plastic parts, insert molding of parts and assemblies.
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.
• Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment.
• Design necessary secondary operation components.
• Analyze Moldflow data as well as finite element analysis, stress/fatigue analysis.
• Assist in mold design of both hot/cold runner molds.
• Develop 3D solid part designs. (Solid Works knowledge preferred)
• Moldflow mold‑filling simulations knowledge.

• Education/Certification:
  
  B.Sc. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or Plastics Engineering or other related engineering discipline.

• Must have 3+ years' experience in a customer‑facing role that involves injection molding, product design, quoting and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge and application with polymer material properties, plastic injection molding, surface treatment and functionalization, heat transfer, and other related topics.

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong initiative, self‑directed.
• Proven problem‑solving ability, good documentation skills, and good manufacturing practices.
• Solid Works.
