Skye Recruitment Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of a long-established industrial manufacturing client in Ewing Township, New Jersey.

This organization has been in operation for over a century and operates a specialized paper processing and industrial board manufacturing facility. The plant includes a wide range of legacy and modern equipment such as pumps, conveyors, presses, dryers, saws, sanders, and slurry transport systems.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a plant environment and enjoys improving mechanical systems, increasing uptime, and driving operational efficiency.

• Identify mechanical process deficiencies and develop improvement solutions
• Monitor and optimize process controls and control systems
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to maintain equipment reliability
• Lead mechanical design of fixtures, components, and mechanisms critical to production
• Prepare specifications and request quotes for new or revised systems
• Develop ROI and supporting documentation for capital equipment projects
• Oversee installation of new or modified equipment
• Evaluate processes and recommend quality control improvements
• Provide occasional supervision and guidance to maintenance staff
• Analyze production data and prepare reports identifying trends and performance gaps

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
• Strong experience with:
• AC motors and drives/starters (up to 400+ HP)
• Pumps and slurry transport systems
• Fluid mechanics and thermodynamics principles
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass background check and drug screening

• Rockwell Software (PLC, Factory Talk, Operator Interface)
• Robotics implementation and programming
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Comfortable supporting occasional off-hour downtime resolution

This is a plant-based role in an industrial manufacturing setting. The environment may include exposure to heat, dust, noise, oil, moisture, and heights. Appropriate PPE is required.
