Site Services Engineer
Site Services Engineer – Food Industry
CONTRACT ROLE
Location:
Evesham
Rate: £40 per hour (Outside IR35)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days)
Contract Length: 8 weeks rolling
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Services Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing site on a contract basis. This role will suit someone with a solid mechanical/electrical background and strong exposure to site services functions within a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities As the Site Services Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the site’s critical services, including:
Carrying out mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on utilities and site service equipment
Conducting routine checks across boilers, steam systems and plant rooms (BOAS is a bonus but not essential)
Supporting refrigeration systems—any ammonia or industrial cooling knowledge is highly desirable
Completing daily facilities checks including water softeners, salt levels, pumps, compressors and general plant utilities
Ensuring all site services run safely, efficiently and comply with regulatory standards
Responding to both planned and reactive service issues
Supporting wider facilities activities across the site as needed Requirements
Proven experience in a site services, utilities, or facilities engineering role within food, FMCG, or industrial environments
Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical competency
Awareness of boiler or steam systems (BOAS certification advantageous but not required)
Experience with refrigeration or ammonia-based systems is highly beneficial
Comfortable conducting routine service checks and walkarounds
Ability to work independently and make safe, fast decisions in a live production environment Desirable
Understanding of food manufacturing environments
Exposure to ammonia plant maintenance
Broader facilities maintenance experience
This contract offers an immediate start, with the client ideally looking for someone to join within the next 1–2 weeks.
