Night Manager Essential Job Functions

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Achieves desired gross profit.
• Achieves desired level of productivity.
• Projects sales, product movement, and labor needs.
• Manages and motivates staff, recruits staff, trains and develops staff in accordance with company policies and employment laws, ensuring relevant HR procedures (appraisals, discipline, etc.) are followed.
• Manages cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, prioritizing staff and customer safety.
• Manages, maintains, and reports all merchandise and non‑merchandise stock as necessary.
• Maintains upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, etc. on premises.
• Manages health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities, and staff and customer awareness in accordance with company policy and relevant law.
• Actively seeks and develops knowledge of competitor activity, pricing, and tactics, and communicates this to the Store Manager.
• Attends meetings and contributes to company strategy and policy‑making as required.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and established guidelines.
• Conducts store closing procedures.

• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.).
• Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports, and verifies receipts.
• May order merchandise and supplies according to established guidelines.
• Stands for extended periods of time to perform job functions.
• Develops personal skills and capability through ongoing training provided by the company or elsewhere, subject to company approval.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Speaks English fluently.
• Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
• Hearing corrected to normal range.
• Possesses full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
