• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, and work to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with store ads and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Perform equipment inspections and notify maintenance if needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Customer service experience
