Position Summary

This vital role ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of our facilities by working closely with airlines, airport tenants, contractors, vendors, concessionaires, and the traveling public. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, excellent attention to detail, and well-developed problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Overseeing all shift activities including the coordination and monitoring of all functions of the terminal to ensure work is performed in a consistent manner with airport policies, procedures, and regulations, and in accordance with Propeller Airports Paine Field and Airport standards, resolving any issues promptly and taking necessary action to ensure the safety and security of passengers, tenants, employees and a well-maintained terminal facility.
  • Helping maintain a safe and secure terminal environment by supporting airport security protocols, including monitoring camera systems, and providing relevant camera footage to authorized personnel or agencies when necessary.
  • Monitoring and inspecting airport activities, IT systems and facilities, including the operations of airlines, tenants, concessionaires, and others to ensure their adherence to airport and company rules and regulations.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of vendors and contractors entering the secured areas of the airport, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring the use of shared equipment including gates, ticket counters, jet bridges, and baggage carousels to ensure critical equipment is available during regular and irregular operations and emergencies, making sure of reporting any incident or deficiency to the Deputy Terminal Director and relevant internal teams.
  • Supervising gate assignments working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including Airlines’ Staff, ATC, Airports Ops and Deputy Terminal Director.
  • Monitoring landside operations to ensure continuous operational flow, minimizing disruptions and ensuring smooth, efficient operations without any issues.
  • Providing support to the IT and Facilities Team, Parking Staff and Deputy Terminal Director with maintenance, construction or renovation projects, visitors, and special flight operations. This includes providing escorting service as needed.
  • Monitoring weather reports and flight schedules diligently, collaborating closely with airlines and ground handlers to mitigate the impact of irregular operations and uphold regular terminal operations.
  • Coordinating the airport’s response to critical incidents, irregular operations (IRROPS), and emergencies, taking immediate action, until the appropriate agencies assume control.
  • Fostering a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring passengers and visitors have a positive experience during their time at the terminal.
  • Assisting passengers in the ticketing area with baggage tagging, mobility/disability support, and general inquiries to ensure a positive travel experience.
  • In the absence of the Deputy Terminal Director, lead operational briefings (daily meetings) with stakeholders to ensure coordinated terminal activity.
  • Ensuring continuous communication with admin and senior staff regarding operational issues or conditions that could affect the terminal's regular operations.
