Role DescriptionThe Transit Security Officer - ST position is a full-time, on-site role based in Lynnwood, WA. The officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, transit staff, and property. Daily tasks include patrolling designated areas, responding to incidents, mitigating potential security risks, and maintaining a secure environment. Additional responsibilities involve providing excellent customer service, monitoring transit routes, and effectively communicating with local law enforcement when required.
Qualifications- Experience or training in security measures, patrolling, and incident management
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with the public
- Capability to assess situations, make informed decisions, and respond effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the ability to enforce rules and regulations
- Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to write clear and concise reports
- Valid security license and certifications preferred or ability to obtain them
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and handle potential emergencies
- Prior experience in law enforcement, transit security, or a related field is an asset
