** About

The Role
** As a Principal Research Scientist, you will provide technical and scientific expertise as well as leadership in your area of scientific expertise. Responsible for training assigned personnel within their area of expertise as necessary. Ensure functional area is operating in full compliance to GLP requirements, protocols, and SOPs. Oversee and approve SOP creation and revisions for the functional area. Oversee method testing project plans and reports for assay validation and sample analysis methods.

Communicate with Study Director(s), QAU and other departments proactively to ensure efficient resource management and quality data generation. Interact with clients and works with the director to assist with the establishment of strategic direction.
** What You'll Do Here
*** Demonstrates adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
* Plans, schedules activities and resources related to preparation and execution of specimen analysis.
* Oversees and reviews data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
* Reviews and responds to client inquiries to assist in study and assay design.
* Prepares and modifies SOPs as needed for the Laboratory Sciences department.
* Prepares, reviews, and participates in the validation/qualification of new and current methods for study analyses and laboratory equipment.
* Assists with analytical quality control and lab proficiency programs as assigned.
* Provide staff training in relevant methods and equipment use.
* Assists in reviewing  staff records to ensure compliance with GLP.
** What You'll Need to Succeed
*** BS, MS, or PhD in biological, pharmaceutical science or related field.
* Minimum 10 years total experience with 5 years as a Senior Scientist performing LC-MS/MS laboratory-based assays related to immunology, molecular biology, and/or cell biology/ biochemistry/chemistry.
* GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CRO (Contract Research Organization) experience.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, statistical.
* Training needs for this position include, ligand binding, tissue culture, cell culture, sterile technique, instrument troubleshooting, and Continual GLP training.
** What We Offer
** The pay range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 annually. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
