Independence Rehab is hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our therapy team serving Everett Transitional Care Services and Bethany at Pacific in Everett.
Both programs are located in the same building, allowing therapists to work with patients across short-term transitional rehabilitation and skilled nursing care without traveling between facilities.
In this role, you'll help patients recovering from hospitalization, illness, or injury rebuild strength, balance, and confidence so they can safely return to daily activities.

As a PTA, you'll work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to deliver hands‑on therapy that helps patients regain functional mobility.
You'll treat a medically complex geriatric population across both the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Skilled Nursing setting
, focusing on meaningful recovery goals.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Assisting patients with gait training, transfers, and mobility exercises
- Leading strengthening, balance, and endurance activities
- Helping patients improve safety awareness and reduce fall risk
- Monitoring patient progress and documenting treatment sessions
- Communicating patient updates to the supervising PT
- Collaborating with OT, speech therapy, nursing, and facility staff
- Supporting patients as they progress toward discharge or improved functional independence
