Treat Across the Full Continuum of Post-Acute Care

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team at Everett Transitional Care Services and Bethany at Pacific

This unique setup allows you to work with patients across short-term transitional care and skilled nursing

If you enjoy helping patients regain the everyday skills that make life possible, this is a role where your work will truly matter.

A Supportive Environment for Therapists

Independence Rehab is a therapist-owned rehabilitation company
, and that perspective shapes how we run our therapy programs.

Our leadership team understands what clinicians need to do their best work-reasonable expectations, supportive management, and the freedom to use sound clinical judgment.

Therapists choose Independence Rehab because we offer:

  • Competitive compensation ($55-$65/hour
    )
  • Realistic productivity expectations designed to be sustainable
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • Strong clinical support from experienced therapy leadership

What the Role Involves

As the Occupational Therapist, you'll help patients rebuild the skills needed for safe and independent daily living.

You’ll treat a medically complex geriatric population in both the Transitional Care Unit and Skilled Nursing setting

Your work will include:

  • Evaluating patients and establishing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing functional training related to daily activities (ADLs and IADLs)
  • Teaching adaptive techniques and recommending assistive equipment
  • Addressing safety awareness, balance, and fall prevention
  • Supporting recovery for patients with complex medical conditions
  • Supervising and collaborating with a COTA when applicable
  • Participating in interdisciplinary care planning with PT, speech therapy, and nursing
  • Contributing to discharge planning and safe transitions home

Your goal is to help patients regain confidence and independence in their everyday routines.

Mentorship and Clinical Support

We prioritize strong onboarding and ongoing support for our therapists.

New team members receive:

  • Structured orientation and integration into the rehab team
  • One-on-one guidance for documentation and evaluation workflows

  • Active Washington State Occupational Therapist license in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Ability to supervise a COTA
  • Interest in working with the geriatric population
