Role DescriptionAs a contracted partner with Orca Counseling, you will play an integral role in providing Everett School District students with professional mental health counseling. Orca Counseling has a contract with the Everett School District to perform mental health counseling to qualified students based on IEP goals. Everett schools determine and provide available times to meet with students at varying frequencies based on their IEP.
Services are held within school hours and rendered at the school. This position will require travel between schools and reliable transportation is required.
Orca Counseling will provide the following:
- Clinical supervision available for associates (fee applies)
- Invoicing with the schools and act as liaison with school counselors and administration
- Confidential and ethical mental health therapy within the scope of your expertise, experience and training
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to partner with school counselors and teaching staff
- Any technology/device(s) needed for this role (laptop, etc.)
- Proof of your active professional liability insurance
- Availability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm onsite at Everett schools
- Daily hours will vary (3-5 hours per day is typical), but will follow a set, weekly schedule
- $75 per direct client hour, paid monthly upon receipt of fees collected, for services provided the month prior
- Expected hours will vary and are subject to change based on school closures, student absences, etc.
- Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and on track to obtain licensure in their designated field
- Candidates must have clinical licensure (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW, or associate levels) and be in good standing with the WA State DOH
- Required experience with completing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner - Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base; especially children of all ages
- Reliable transportation
