Basic ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and management for the System Planning and Protection workgroup. Provides tactical and strategic direction in managing and coordinating electric system design and technical support including planning, system protection and control, research and development for the generation interconnections, transmission, substation, and distribution systems consistent with the District's mission, goals and values. Manages, trains, and develops staff to perform the department functions accurately and efficiently.
We are looking for a manager who provides strong, steady leadership and brings clear organization to the System Planning & Protection function. This leader should be able to guide and support the team through modernization efforts, balancing technical experience with thoughtful change management. We value a manager who sets a clear vision for modernizing system planning and protection practices, invests in people and processes, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring the system remains safe, reliable, and forward-looking.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, AND Four (4) years of utility related experience.
- Eight (8) years of utility related experience.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with a good driving record
- Washington State Professional Engineer License (PE)
