Position Description
Starting Hourly Wage: $34 - $43/hour; depending on experience
Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: Supporting the VCS team and projects with a primary emphasis but not limited to, managing the Revit models, families, and templates. Primary contact for VCS Revit family creation and maintenance but still managing to provide detailing support for the VCS department projects.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining and creating Revit families and templates utilized in detailing and fabrication.Managing Revit families utilized in templates and all within central location for ease of accessibility.Creating new families as needed per approved submittals.Vetting existing Revit families against approved submittals.Maintaining Revit Family library.Maintaining Revit template settings, worksets, sheets, views, etc.Troubleshooting programs within the VCS Department as problems arise with our Models, Families, and templates.Report to the Con Tech team if problems go beyond what can be resolved through internal troubleshooting.Supporting Revizto model management (Con Tech) of projects requiring the use of the program.Setup of VCS project models in preparation for team collaboration.Assist the Con Tech team in providing the necessary training for the program.Scheduler to be maintained by Con Tech team.Appearance Profiler maintained and utilized on all projects.Preparation of models for Revizto publishing through proper Revit settings.Navisworks model management of projects requiring the use of the program.Setup of project models (NWF) in preparation for clash detection.Setting up of NWCs (placeholders) for linking into the modelSetup clash detection tests with placeholder files.Clash detection on a project can be requested if schedule permits or on an as-needed basis.Navisworks profiler is maintained on all projects.Seek out efficiencies and improvements to current programs and procedures.Dynamo is an option for Revit in doing repeatable tasks.Part-time detailing on projects as schedule permits and department needs.Annotating to UMC Standards and maintaining level of quality.Potential with full-time detailing if the schedule permits.Secondary Responsibilities
Assist VCS Ops Mgr. and Trade supervisors in enforcing our CAD/Revit standards for drawings and models.Documenting of standards processes, training, and implementation.Training and on-boarding of new employees with VCS standards.Generate shop drawings for field use, using the contract documents as a guideline as needed/required (overflow).Plot, prepare, and check drawings for final review and submittal as needed/required.Position Requirements Required
Skills and AbilitiesGood working knowledge of Revit 2019 and higher, Navisworks, and Autodesk BIM 360 Products.AutoCAD/FAB-MEP knowledge a plus, but not required.Advanced organizational and time management skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong work ethic - results drivenAbility to multi-task responsibilitiesExcellent working knowledge of Windows and the following Windows applications:Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Microsoft TeamsBluebeam RevuPreferred
Education and Experience Minimum of 2 year of formal AutoCAD/Revit training from technical school or community college, orSix years of on-the-job training/experience evaluated.Required Licensing and Other Certifications
