Role Overview: As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will support magni
X’s electric propulsion programs by identifying, engaging, and managing world‑class suppliers. You will serve as the primary interface between internal stakeholders and external partners, directly affecting quality, cost and delivery performance throughout the supply chain.
- Lead identification, technical assessment, and onboarding of suppliers for electric motors, power electronics, and battery energy storage systems, ensuring alignment with design requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Program teams to resolve component quality and delivery issues while driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct in‑depth technical evaluations of supplier processes and capabilities to meet timelines and quality standards.
- Partner with suppliers to implement cost‑effective improvements, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.
- Track and analyze technical, delivery and quality metrics, providing timely reports to support senior management decisions.
- Develop and maintain supplier evaluation systems, ensure compliance with product and process standards, and drive corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier development and management within electric motor, power electronics or battery energy storage supply chains.
- Experience in electric vehicle and/or aerospace supply chain ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, SIPOC).
- Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems and aerospace product/process validation per AS9102.
- Ability to travel 10–25% of the time, often on short notice.
