Estimate Specialist - Sales

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Estimate Specialist to support the Sales team by preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for manufacturing and implementation projects. This role analyzes project requirements, evaluates labor and material costs, and collaborates closely with Sales, Project Management, Production, and Installation teams to support pricing decisions and successful project execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.

Base

pay range

$24.00/hr - $31.00/hr

Employment Status & Work Hours

Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Remote/Hybrid. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze project requirements, plans, and specifications to determine labor, material, equipment, and service costs.
  • Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates using historical data, benchmark pricing, trends, and prior estimates.
  • Update estimates as project scope, specifications, pricing, or customer requirements change.
  • Develop cost estimates based on work scope, technical requirements, and contract proposals.
  • Evaluate labor and material requirements to determine cost-effective makeorbuy decisions.
  • Apply appropriate estimating methodologies, mathematical models, and estimating software tools based on project complexity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Production, Installation, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide pricing guidance and technical support to Sales teams based on customer needs and product offerings.
  • Communicate with vendors and external service providers to obtain accurate pricing and specifications.
  • Support estimating best practices and assist with training as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in estimating, pricing, sales support, or project-based environments.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a sales-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a Sales team or working in a sales operations environment.
  • Familiarity with Hub Spot or other CRM software is a plus!
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Extended periods of computer use, including keyboarding and monitor viewing.
  • Travel may involve long periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
