Join Our Human Services Administration Team
Description PurposeSnohomish County Human Services is hiring a qualified individual to join the Administrative Services Division in the Contracts Unit. The Contracts Unit is responsible for the coordination and processing of nearly 1,000 contracts annually.

Position PurposeCoordinate and process items throughout the Executive/Council approval process, ensuring deadlines, guidelines and authorization requirements are met. This role also processes agreements with agencies, vendors and subcontractors, proofing and revising contracts, verifying required information and signatures, and providing quality control to ensure documents are accurate and complete. The position assists the Administration Team in answering the main Human Services phone line and works in office only.

Salary SpecificsThis is a non‑exempt classified position, Pay Grade 240 with a six‑step salary structure. Starting salary is step one at $6,867.60 per month ($82,411.20 annually).

BasicFunction
- Coordinate and process grants, contracts and inter‑local agreements; make applications for board appointments, budget transfers, FTE increases; review and prepare departmental action packages; prepare necessary documents; monitor the process throughout the Executive/Council approval process; ensure deadlines, guidelines and authorization requirements are met.
- Coordinate agreements with agencies, vendors and subcontractors: proof and correct contracts; verify required information and signatures; provide quality control to ensure documents are accurate and complete.
- Lead the annual Grant Work Plan process with the budget cycle; review and assemble the final Grant Work Plan; prepare required forms for Executive Office and Council approval; provide staff use in funding source approval; prepare year‑end report as required by County Code.
- Maintain and update Basic Terms and Conditions; ensure content aligns with federal, state, local laws, county code and other legislation.
- Research legislation, state and federal laws, and county code to confirm specific requirements; develop and update procedures; communicate changes and train staff.
- Serve as liaison with the Executive Office, Council, Department of Finance, Risk Management and other departments during the action package review and approval process.
