Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Everett, Washington.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our accounting operations, including project and manufacturing accounting, payroll management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial operations, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to enhancing organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee project accounting activities, including percentage of completion calculations and related reporting.

- Manage manufacturing accounting tasks, such as inventory counts and reconciliation processes.

- Perform hands-on accounting work under the guidance of the Controller to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Assist in streamlining and centralizing accounting functions to improve workflows and efficiency.

- Handle complex payroll requirements, including overtime and industry-specific considerations.

- Maintain fixed asset records, perform account reconciliations, and manage other key accounting responsibilities.

- Collaborate with the management team to align accounting practices with business operations, especially following recent acquisitions.

- Contribute to the establishment of a robust control environment and the development of internal processes.

- Support the implementation of new systems, with a preference for candidates experienced in Net Suite.

- Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000.

Requirements - Proven experience with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.

- Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

- Familiarity with Net Suite software or similar ERP systems.

- Knowledge of accounting practices within the construction industry.

- Experience working in a public company environment.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to process enhancements.
