Medical Assistant

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a community hospital located in the Boston metro‑north region. This position is a full‑time Medical Assistant in the Medical Specialties Clinic at CHA Everett Hospital. The role requires Monday‑Friday 9:00‑5:30 hours (40 hours per week), with day shift coverage in one of our acute care hospitals and three specialty clinics.

• Efficiently manage patient flow through the clinic, including rooming patients and obtaining medical histories.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic health record.
• Check vital signs and perform point‑of‑care testing.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures.
• Communicate with patients via MyCHArt messages, templated letters, and telephone calls.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or one year of previous experience as a medical assistant in lieu of program completion required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
• Ability to write and verbally communicate in English; fluency in a second language preferred.
• Preferred experience:
  
  current medical assistant role and administrative duties in a clinical setting.
