Temporary Electrical Engineer

$40.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Pay Range: $40-$55 per hour

Full-time | Monday-Friday, 7-4

Assignment Duration: ~1 year starting ASAP

We’re hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a high-impact MBTA project focused on improving Green Line safety, as part of our client’s work with nationwide railway systems.

This role is ideal for hands-on engineers who thrive in lab environments, are comfortable working onboard trains, and bring a methodical approach to testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

• Background in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation
• Comfortable working on‑site in both lab and field environments
• Detail‑oriented with strong technical documentation skills

• Test and validate low‑voltage computer systems in controlled laboratory environments
• Configure, inspect, and troubleshoot lab components for electrical issues
• Perform voltage validation and verification onboard trains to confirm accurate readings at endpoints
• Execute wiring continuity testing to ensure system integrity and compliance
• Document test results and report findings to engineering and technical teams
• Adhere to established safety, quality, and testing protocols
