About the OpportunityWe’re hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a high-impact MBTA project focused on improving Green Line safety, as part of our client’s work with nationwide railway systems.
This role is ideal for hands-on engineers who thrive in lab environments, are comfortable working onboard trains, and bring a methodical approach to testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
KeyQualifications & Skills
- Background in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation
- Comfortable working on‑site in both lab and field environments
- Detail‑oriented with strong technical documentation skills
- Test and validate low‑voltage computer systems in controlled laboratory environments
- Configure, inspect, and troubleshoot lab components for electrical issues
- Perform voltage validation and verification onboard trains to confirm accurate readings at endpoints
- Execute wiring continuity testing to ensure system integrity and compliance
- Document test results and report findings to engineering and technical teams
- Adhere to established safety, quality, and testing protocols
