Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced, welcoming work environment.

As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a Walmart store, you will support and oversee repair of the Walmart Facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills. You will utilize hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, following Walmart’s safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration plus an AAS in A/C and refrigeration.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
