Territory Sales Manager – Southwest Indiana
Purple Wave is seeking a self‑motivated go‑getter to lead our next territory sales team in a growing online equipment auction marketplace. If you are passionate about building relationships, closing deals, and making a lasting impact, this is your chance to shine.
OverviewAs a Territory Sales Manager you will be the face of innovation in the territory. With unlimited potential in Southwest Indiana, you will build your “empire” by driving equipment auctions for our clients in agriculture, construction, government, fleet, and lending.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and potential customers to increase Purple Wave’s visibility and brand recognition.
- Educate and inform clients in your territory about our equipment auction services and how they can sell or buy used equipment.
- Gather and enter customer information and opportunities in CRM to maintain high communication with the team.
- Ensure successful execution and support of all auction process phases.
- Represent Purple Wave positively to heavy equipment owners, buyers, and sellers.
- Raise awareness of upcoming auctions through equipment promotion and packaging.
- Manage buyer and seller relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Represent Purple Wave at trade shows, conferences, and similar events to promote our services and auctions.
- Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years successful sales experience.
- Ability to travel extensively when required.
- Knowledge of construction, agriculture, fleet, or government industries.
- Proficiency with technology, tools, and systems for electronic information sharing.
- Self‑motivated with strong initiative to close deals.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- High ethical standards and strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
- Full‑time salaried exempt (no overtime).
- Flexible schedule, often outside standard business hours.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
- Physically demanding – regular climbing, lifting, and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Competitive base salary paid bi‑weekly; commission paid monthly based on sales revenue and additional performance targets.
