• Job Summary
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Start Date: 3/9 or 3/23 with bi-weekly orientation.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (48 hours accepted upon request).
• Overtime: OT applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts.
• Primary Location: Midtown.
• Shift Requirement: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Float Requirement:

  • First to float within skillset.

• On-Call/Call-Back Requirement: Not applicable.
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule.
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday.
• Required Certifications (attach upon submission):
  • Current active compact license.
  • AHA BLS.
  • NIHSS.
• Minimum Experience Required:
  • Two years of strong Med/Surg experience.
  • At least one travel assignment.
• Charting Experience:
  • Recent EPIC experience required.
  • Must complete a check-off class.
• Patient Population:
  • Cardiac (chest pain, stress test/Lexiscan, post-cath without intervention).
  • CVA/TIA.
  • Hypotensive patients.
  • Syncope/dizziness.
  • Shortness of breath (SOB).
  • Post-surgical patients.
  • GI/Urology pre/post procedure.
  • AKI.
  • Cellulitis.
  • Detox/CIWA.
• Required Skillset:
  • Cardiac cath recovery (femoral/TR bands).
  • Post-surgical care (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, stones).
  • NIHSS/Neuro assessment/dysphagia screening.
  • Initiate and titrate drips (Heparin, Insulin).
  • Indwelling drain management.
  • Straight cath/Foley care.
  • NG tube insertion.
  • Blood administration and documentation.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required.
• Unit Information:
  • 23 beds.
  • Patient ratios:
    • Days (0700–1500): 1:4–5
    • PMs (1500–1900): 1:5–6
    • Nights (1900–0700): 1:6–7
  • Charge Nurse takes patient assignment on all shifts.
• Unit Strengths:

• Scrub Colors: Navy blue only.
• Dress Code: No hoodies or sweatshirts. No competing health system or agency logos.
