Welborn, a private foundation located in Evansville, IN, is seeking a forward-thinking leader to serve as the Healthy Communities Program Coordinator.
Created in 1999, Welborn is dedicated to cultivating communities that flourish with the well-being, abundance, and peace that God desires. Our mission encompasses advancing high-quality early education, health and well-being, Christ‐centered communities, and building capacity in the nonprofit sector.
The Healthy Communities Program Coordinator (HCPC) will cultivate opportunities to advance Welborn’s Healthy Communities program area. The HCPC serves as the champion for Upgrade initiatives, with the primary focus on the Upgrade in Schools program. This role works collaboratively with schools to ensure the implementation of the school-based grant cycle, effective execution of program strategies, facilitates training and technical assistance to partners, promotes cross-sector collaboration, and manages program resources.
With the exception of periodic school site visits and external meetings, this position is predominantly office-based.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related discipline and have at least 5 years of nonprofit, grantmaking, grant writing, or other experience in the public sector.
Candidates must possess excellent project management skills. Candidates should have a history of working effectively with diverse populations, a high level of community involvement, a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and a collaborative approach to working with others.
Given Welborn’s mission and that a significant amount of our work is with Christian faith‐based organizations, applicants should have an active Christian faith.
Individuals interested in applying for the position should send a cover letter and resume to:
