Position Title: Part‑Time Director of Development
Location: Hybrid
Position SummaryChemo Buddies is seeking a passionate and organized Part‑Time Director of Development to lead our fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts. This role is ideal for a nonprofit professional who thrives in relationship‑building, storytelling, and strategic planning while working collaboratively with staff, board members, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities Donor Management- Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and sponsors
- Maintain accurate donor and sponsor records in CRM systems (Bloomerang and Qgiv)
- Review donor and prospect lists to identify opportunities for increased giving, major gifts, in‑kind donations, sponsor ships, and corporate support
- Create and implement an annual fundraising strategy with actionable goals
- Lead fundraising campaigns across multiple channels (mail, online, events, grants, planned giving)
- Play an integral role in planning and executing fundraising events (Hopefest, Cork and Fork, golf outing, etc)
- Identify grant opportunities aligned with Chemo Buddies’ mission
- Oversee grant applications, submissions, and reporting requirements
- Represent Chemo Buddies at community events and networking opportunities (such as E‑rep and ANEW events).
- Build and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders and partner organizations
- Enhance the organization’s public presence and awareness
- Passionate advocate for the mission of Chemo Buddies
- Prefer 2 years of professional experience in mission‑oriented fundraising, donor relations, corporate sponsor ships, or sales and marketing
- Nonprofit experience strongly preferred
- Proven leadership skills with experience in fundraising and marketing strategy
- Strong communicator with excellent writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using nonprofit CRM systems (Bloomerang preferred), including reporting and basic list building preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in one‑on‑one, small‑group, and large‑group settings
