Responsibilities
  • Make pigment used each day; make pigment needed for large orders; extrusion.
  • Bring Gaylord's of resin or concentrate needed in blending.
  • Blow resin to ensure machines are not set down due to lack of material.
  • Keep material off the ground and clear from drains.
  • All lines outside the fence capped and locked when not in use.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the group leader.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of approximately 15 times per 8-hour day.
  • Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.
  • Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara Screen).
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection). Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
  • Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 5 times per day.
  • Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and/or paging system to connect other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
  • Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
  • Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and near vision ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance of 12-18 inches.
  • Ability to stand/walk 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
