GIS Analyst

Position Title: GIS Analyst I

Start Date: 2/1

Location:

• NP Wagner Complex, Evansville, Indiana
• Onsite – potential for a hybrid schedule (Fridays remote) once training is complete

Project Details: The main function of a GIS Analyst is to perform computer applications and/or database design, development, and implementation services for utilization of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. This person supports the GIS environment, policies and procedures, standards, and the accuracy and consistency of the GIS information.

• 0-2 years of experience required
• Reliable and consistent worker with strong communication.iteritems
• Experience using GIS software, but there will be front-end training to get them up to speed on team processes
• Experience with GIS software such as ESRI, Auto airbags, Bentley, Integraph, ArcGIS (highly preferred), etc.
• Educational background/certification in GIS, geography, computer science or related field
• Strong understanding of geographic concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in computer systems, applications, and database software

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently

Educational background/certification in GIS, geography Covering computer science or related field

• Research, develop, program, and manage GIS tools, applications, and interfaces
• Develop, maintain, and support all spatial data systems hardware and software
• Develop and presents GIS system and cartographic mapping elements, integrates elements with other technology for marketing and web-based communication
Transpose complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, land base maps, demographic models and economic resources and other source documents into GIS related database
• Produce maps, provide web-based mapping support, develop spatial and non-spatial databases, and provide technical support to other users
