About the RoleWe’re hiring Dishwashers for the 2026 season. You'll work in our shipboard galley to ensure proper sanitation of all pieces needed to provide an outstanding dining experience. This is a temporary position lasting 28 weeks.

- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas.
- Receive and carry food deliveries, lifting boxes that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher operates properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
- Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests efficiently.
- Perform other duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation and providing assistance during special events, including afternoon teas, snacks, and evening entertainment.
- Pay – wages $1,000 to $1,400 per week with bonuses; all major living expenses covered aboard.
- Hospitality Experience – introductory position to the cruise industry; strong foundation for a career in hospitality.
- Covered Expenses – travel to and from vessel, room and board, uniforms, and paid training provided.
- Travel the Country – over 50 itineraries spanning more than 35 states.
- Crew Connections – create lifelong memories and relationships with fellow crew members and guests from across the country.
You must be at least 18 years old and an American citizen or Green Card holder. Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, up to 28 weeks. Employees must meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods.
Under Federal Law, we are required to pre-employment drug test all shipboard employees for marijuana and other controlled substances. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship, which are included in training.
American Cruise Lines has grooming standards that include limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work.
