Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

(40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed hours: 36
Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7

Float Requirement:
First to float within skillset.
On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday.
Required Certs to be attached upon submittal:
Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 2 years Cardiac/Neuro MS/T + 1 travel contract OR 5 years Cardiac/Neuro MS/T if no contract.
Charting Experience:
Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population: Cardiac- post procedure (cath/stents/interventions, pacers), arrythmias, HF, STEMI/NSTEMI, Neuro (CVA, Seizures), detox/CIWA, sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress.
Skillset:
Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), post heart cath care (fem./TR bands), initiate/titrate Heparin, NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessments, sepsis care, chest tubes, CPAP/Optiflow, PIV insertion. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Unit Information: 19 beds, blended unit (8 designated Stepdown bed, 11 MS/T)
Ratio:
Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:6-7; CN will take patients. Stepdown RNs will take MS/T patients.
Unit Strengths:
The manager opening this unit has been with Deaconess over 20+ years and had the lowest turnover in the organization for 2024.
Scrub Colors:
Navy blue scrubs - No competing health systems or agency logos
* 3 call-ins can result in termination
