The Finance Business & Technology (FBT) organization is modernising and digitising finance activities, and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team plays a critical role in delivering best‑in‑class financial insights to support business decisions.
Business EntityThe role sits within the FP&A organisation and is accountable for business planning, performance management and business partnering for specific Business/Functions.
The RoleAs a Business Performance Senior Analyst you will deliver business planning and performance management products, work with technical and finance teams across geographies, and support the cost performance management agenda. You may be required to work alternative shifts to overlap with European or UK time zones.
What You Will Deliver- Performance Management
:
Prepare accurate financial information for business decisions, develop key messages and insights for leadership, and provide profitability insights. - Business Partnering & Performance Insights
:
Build proactive relationships with Business/Function Leadership, support robust forecasts, monitor cost reduction initiatives and track profitability. - Actuals Analysis
:
Analyse monthly/quarterly actuals, highlight variances, and suggest interventions. - Business Planning
:
Develop long‑term and quarterly plans, analyse plan data in SAP, deliver Power
BI/Tableau reports and presentation material. - Joint Venture Management
:
Support local finance team in developing plans and Authorisations for Expenditure (AFEs). - Economic Evaluation
:
Perform economic analyses to evaluate financial viability of projects and scenarios. - Strategy & Planning
:
Support annual planning, challenge assumptions, ensure data quality, and aid ad‑hoc decisions. - Continuous Improvement
:
Identify and deliver improvement opportunities, standardise performance management processes and promote system usage.
- Business/Finance or Engineering degree (or equivalent).
- Master’s Degree or relevant finance qualification (MBA, CA, ICWA, etc.) preferred.
- 12 + years post‑degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in global, matrix organisations, preferably Oil & Gas or industries such as Retail, Asset‑based, Manufacturing or Logistics.
- Expertise in Plan‑to‑Perform processes, digital literacy and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and insight capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, translation of sophisticated requirements into simple outcomes.
- Ability to gain trust from finance and business senior leaders.
- Operational improvement delivery and standard methodology sharing.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft products, Power BI, Tableau.
- Finance professionals within the FP&A organisation.
- Main contact point for Business/Functions senior leadership and partner with local finance, technical and leadership teams in onsite locations.
