OverallAs part of the Finance FP&A organization, you will provide business planning and performance management to support the oil & gas business functions. You will work closely with engineering and commercial teams to develop budgets, drive cost performance and deliver insights.
Key Responsibilities- Own cost performance management, including capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
- Build and maintain proactive business‑partnering relationships with function leadership.
- Lead performance analyses, challenge assumptions and propose improvements.
- Develop detailed cost forecasts, support business planning, and model scenario impacts.
- Submit plan/forecast data into cost‑management systems, ensuring data quality.
- Provide management information (MI) analysis, commentary and reporting on actuals versus forecasts.
- Support cost‑allocation and recharge processes, explaining allocations to collaborators.
- Drive continuous improvement of MI, cost reporting and system automation.
- Finance or Engineering degree (post‑degree).
- Minimum 12 years of post‑degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in oil & gas or retail in a global, matrix organization.
- Knowledge of Plan‑to‑Perform processes, digital tools and performance management.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Master’s degree (MBA, CA, ICWA, cost accounting).
- Experience with global financial systems and cross‑border financial reporting.
- Familiarity with the BP FP&A organization and UK/European time zones.
