Maintenance Project Engineer

RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Maintenance Project Engineer in our Evansville, IN facility!

This role is responsible for managing large‑scale industrial projects, overseeing maintenance‑related contracts, and driving cost optimisation through budget tracking and analysis. The position requires strong technical knowledge, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

• Lead industrial‑scale projects involving facility systems (boilers, chillers, cooling towers) and major equipment upgrades or replacements (e.g., 3,500‑ton injection‑moulding machines, electroplating lines).
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage contractors to meet safety, quality, and budget objectives.
• Develop and review project scope documents to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives.

• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts for maintenance‑related activities, including outsourced projects and vendor‑managed inventory programmes.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and optimise agreements for cost‑effectiveness and performance.
• Collaborate on scope development and review for outsourced projects and vendor agreements.

• Track departmental budgets and analyse spending trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations for operational efficiency and capital planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in industrial project management and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of maintenance operations and reliability principles.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
