POSITION DETAILS:

Bus attendants work part time hours with full time benefits! The position works 40 Weeks per year, 5 days per week at 4 hours per day, following the school calendar. Bus attendants can also pick up routes throughout the day for additional pay!

A year of service annual increase will be provided to employees who have completed 120 working days in a paid status per school year based on the board approved salary schedule. New employees begin on year 1.

BENEFITS:

EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Single medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position.  to view the rates for each plan. If elected, insurance coverage begins the first of the month following the successful completion of a 30-day probationary period.

Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.
Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.
EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.

To assist in providing safe transportation of special needs students to and from designated locations. Works one on one with assigned student to meet the student's needs.
