This is a full-time, on-site role located in Evansville, IN, where the Extended Day Center Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the school's extended day program. Responsibilities include managing program staff, ensuring the safety and engagement of students, maintaining schedules, monitoring program activities, and implementing policies to support a positive and enriching environment. The coordinator will develop age-appropriate activities, establish strong communication with families, and ensure compliance with school and district policies.
Qualifications- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage schedules and oversee staff effectively.
- Experience in planning and implementing educational and recreational activities for children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, staff, and the school community.
- A demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and a supportive learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification if required.
- Familiarity with program compliance, safety protocols, and administrative management.
- Prior experience in education, childcare, or related fields is a valuable asset.
This position works 40 weeks per year, 5 days per week at 8 hours per day. The position starts two days prior to the first day of school, and ends one day after the last day of school. The hours are 6:15am‑9:15am and 1:00pm‑6:00pm.
Salary$16.07 per hour for Year 1. New employees will begin on year
1. After completing at least 120 days in a paid status in a school year, the employee will advance to the next salary schedule.
Up to $500 based on enrollment.
