At Lensing Building Specialties and Architectural Sales our Architectural Sales Division provides specified building products and services for commercial and industrial construction projects. Our family-owned operation takes pride in meeting deadlines, accurate bids and meeting orders correctly and quickly.

We currently have an open position for an Associate Project Manager Intern - Construction. The Associate Project Manager Intern will learn the industry and assist Project Managers in the Architectural Sales division. The Apprentice Project Manager will work closely with the PMs, external customers, building owners, general contractors and architects.

This position will work each morning on-site daily, Monday - Friday, 10-20 hours per week. No weekends or evenings. There is an opportunity for a full-time internship over the summer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage bid calendar meeting all bid deadlines in Pipedrive (sales management system)
  • Assist in execution of bid process
  • Manage and monitor approved projects
  • Assist in the review of architecture plans for completeness and compliance with standards
  • Work closely with teams to integrate digital tools (e.g., BIS, Pipedrive, warehouse software, project management platforms) into streamlined workflows.
  • Be willing to stretch into products and job management.
  • Maintain an attitude that is positive and supportive of others leading by example in work ethic, communications and attitude.
  • Engage in learning all steps of the project management process.
Qualifications

Enrolled in a 2 or 4-year program in construction management, engineering, business or related field.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as MS Office projects and project management software.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
